Any update here, how is the cycle going?
I thought I’d posted a cycle update, but apparently didn’t. Goes to show how quickly life upturns your plans!

The cycle finally decided to finish about a month ago; I think it was low pH that was slowing it down. I’m still suffering from low pH (hovers around 7.8-7.9) despite my alk being high and using a protein skimmer to oxygenate the water, so that’s another thing I have to suss out.

Added the first livestock to the tank, a Royal gramma who promptly turned himself into floor jerky and a double bar rabbitfish who is thriving and living his best life, along with five astrea and two turbo snails who have started doing their thing.

By and large algae is under control, between the snails/rabbitfish and dosing Brightwell Clean. I’m performing weekly 10g water changes.

Now I’m just sort of in a holding pattern until I start to see some coralline growth, then I’ll start adding corals.
