White Moving Dots

Hey—I have these white small dots all over my glass. They move much much slower than copepods (which I also have) and appear to be almost triangular shape or arrow head shape. They are clearly eating lines of algae on my glass.

I know what typical copepods look like and these aren’t them.

They’re extremely small. I can try to get magnified photos but probably will have no luck.

This may be entirely unhelpful but it’s about the best I can do with my phone. You can just about see the “arrow tip” shape

Sorry still looks like white dots, to me. Someone else might have some other guesses but I wouldn't worry too much about them.

Asterina stars perhaps?

Are they tiny snails? It might be worth pulling one out to look closer, or even trying to squish one on the glass. If they're "crunchy" they may be snails, or perhaps ostracods. I haven't come across marine ostracods but I know they exist and they'll be crunchy too. I've cultured plenty of freshwater ostracods.

Removing one and using a magnifying glass or even a macro shot might help ID them.
