White reflective

If I paint my tanks back, side, and bottom white will it increase par and reduce shading? And what about adding reflective glass bead sealed with white paint?

Interesting thought. This is my thought. It will not increase par. i Could see it helping in the dispersion of the light and reduce the shading

But, I have no clue how much if any reflective property the glass itself has, or how much light would go thru and bounce back after traveling thru the glass after hitting the white.

we do have some great minds on this subject though who should know

I have used mirror glass cut to fit for the back of the aquarium. And it does help PAR ( a little) by reflection. But fish have a hard time with mirrored back drops . My 6line wrasse is shadow boxing forever . My upgrade in a week or two has a blue painted background.

If kept clean it will significantly increase the light scatter which will mean. Less wasted photons. A good thing if you’re needing more light.
