I'm getting back into the hobby and wondering if I should I add additional ai blade grow to my system or a glow. Currently have one grow on the tank switched out from an old ocean revive I had. Im seeing some shading in areas, but im just using the standard mount that comes with the light currently, looking into getting an actual mount for the light. I have not taken PAR readings yet due to waiting on mount. Was wondering if adding additonal grow would cook my corals and should just run a glow. No corals are currently in the system just fish. Anyone have experience with these on a 20gal

Greetings. I also have an IM 20-gallon tank with a single Blade Grow, and it adequately handles any 'softies' I want to grow-- including leathers. I do, in fact, have it raised up the few inches that the 'L' shaped legs (which for about $27 I recommend.) One suggestion if shading is a problem, and you like the famous Kessil 'shimmer', is to add one small Kessil A80 one a gooseneck clip, clipped on to the rear chamber wall. That's what I have-- one Blade Grow, one Kessil A80 (but frankly I hardly use the A80, since the coverage the Blade is providing me is fine for the 'easy-corals' I am keeping, I hope this helps. 👍🏻👍🏻

I would add a glow personally, that would even out the whiter spectrum of the grow. You can always lower the intensity to not put out more light than you need. Better to have too much light than not enough because you can lower the output.
