I just noticed this in my fresh water tank, but feel like you all can maybe help me out here.

These white lines are in the middle of the black silicon of my fluval flex 32 gallon. If it is coming apart, or I just need to add some silicon I don't mind tackling it myself if that is doable, but I also wanted to make sure it was even an issue first.

Any advice would be appreciated, even if it is just like what brand of silicon to use!

Picture is not too sharp, but it looks like the silicone slowly aging and separating from the glass. If you would put your fingernail behind it , it would likely demonstrate to be loose. At the end it’s your structural entity. Does not look like failing immediately, but who wants to have the water on the floor? I never resealed a tank (wife surely would not allow) but I heard some members have been quite successful.

DO YOU THINK TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS ARE MORE HELPFUL OR HURTFUL TO REEFING?
