Trying to get an ID on these small white spongy things growing in my brain coral. I’ve been struggling with this coral and it’s not the healthiest but it has been slowing coming back.

I thought it was sand stuck in the groves but when I tried to blast it out with a power head it didn’t move so I got a toothpick to try and pry them out but they are soft and squishy.

Pineapple sponge?? Just a sign of healthy water. They usually die off pretty quickly.

It looks like there is still tissue there. Perhaps an unhappy coral? Do you have another photo?
