White spots?

Can anyone tell me what these white spots are. They started showing up about three days ago on my overflows.

I hope so. If you are right then that means my wife will think I know what I am talking about. :smile: I told her "I believe it's the start of coraline algae."

haha yeah it is i do believe its just the start... do you have piece of LR with coraline? if so then thats the start of it spreading in your tank

Yes, several of pieces of my live rock have small areas of nice purple growth. This is the first sign of anything on the overflows. My tank is visible on the front, right side and back, so I clean those sides with Mag Floats every day or two.

there is something else it could be ... do these white dote appear to have a small hole?

Yeah, I think they might, but it's hard to tell for sure. The spots are so small.
