Hey all - I was at my coral guys place and my wife saw a tang that we are trying to ID. Sadly, no photos and he couldn’t remember what it was. What tangs out there have white tails and dark, almost black or dark blue bodies? I thought it was a white tail bristletooth but he said it wasn’t. I believe it is from the Ctenochaetus genus of that helps at all.

First photo is a true "White Tail" by name from hobbyist and the industry - Ctenochaetus flavicauda

2nd set of photos are Tomi Tangs - Ctenochaetus tominiensis

Same family but different species

Decent price difference between the two - White tails can go 200-300
