So I believe it could be pineapple sponges or something along those lines but it appears to be growing at a rapid rate over last 3 months, as that was the last time I cleaned my sump and equipment ect.. should I be concerned or should I leave for a little longer before cleaning the sump out again?

This is in the sump growing in my slimmer 20210815_122205.jpg 20210815_122219.jpg 20210815_122242.jpg

I think the biggest benefit is their diet, they eat organic detritus, small particle food passing through the water column. Filtering water like a sponge but in hard to get crevices like a bristleworm.

Some take silicates out of the water that's a plus. Then another thread on here about cryptic sponges might shed some light on things. (have not read yet)
