If you don't get every last one of them they will return.
Digitate hydroids are tough to rid of cause they attach to places you can't even see.
So peroxide don't get me wrong is awesome for a lot of things an established tank will not be eradicated with peroxide unless you are treating the whole tank
Where can I get some of this concoction? I have been searching for over a year on how to rid my tank of them. Also, does it only effect turbo snails and not any others? What about shrimp?

I had some spring up in my tank 6 mths ago and nothing worked for me. Occasionally I would get lucky and dig one out of the rock and it never came back. After losing many battles I started placing a blob of super glue on them sealing them in the rock. Problem solved no more Digitate Hydroids.

True if you catch them soon enough no chemical treatment is needed.
In the years I have noticed people don't know or understand what they are and what they can do so they leave them be. By that time its too late.
I have helped local reefers and retail stores rid of these here in WA.
PLEASE do not do this if you don't understand the consequences to certain inhabitants.
Also note I have not tested this with SPS coral. All testing I do is from cultured specimens from my own tanks.

I have some of these too... don't know where they came from but they sure are pests, they are all between my zoas and where ever they pop up the zoas seem to 'move' away from the spot.... gonna try the superglue method. just hope I don't get the glue all over my zoas.......

sweet.. keep us posted.
anyone ever tried anything like aiptasia x on them by chance?
Aiptasia x from my studies has no ill effects on hydroids
I run a 2.5 gallon tank for all my studies.
Interceptor was my main study as a compound till they quite making "true interceptor"
After they quite producing it I moved on to find the next best solution.
Fenbendazol
It is more potent than interceptor so exact dosing is key.
Save money don't buy aiptasia x

Its OTC you can get it at any pet supply store.
Aiptasia x disperse in the water under 48 hours.
These guys are tough!
Superglue can be applied on top of them but the trick is 90% of the time you can't see the base.
Also if you see one there are many more :(

The sting isn't as potent as lets say a hells fire anemone but certainly enough to kill our precious coral.
The fix will be there soon!

Also do you have any starfish or urchins?

@twilliard I'm wondering if these need to die before I change 25 percent. It's been 24 hours and it seems I have some still coming out to try and breath mybe. I don't see any strings just there bodies I believe coming out
