Hi any ideas what these White threads (the thick ones that are on the frag plug) coming from under doughboy Yuma are?

Thanks

Mark

Agree with the feather dusters. They are harmless, but you can simply scrape them off if you do not want them on the plug.

That's a really weird spot for a filter feeder. I could imagine the coral overgrew the feather duster and it's not even alive anymore.

Can you see the feather duster opening up or is it just the tube all the time?

The way it grows, it doesn't look like it's really drilling into tissue. I only know about feather dusters that drill into coral skeleton and those grow straight down into the skeleton and not in a curved shape before drilling down. It might be possible that it's irritating the coral but you might be able to peel it off carefully. The coral won't enjoy this, but it will be fine.
