White tipped leather splitting?

I'm assuming my leather is splitting. Not sure why or if this is normal. I also assume when the piece is just about off I can attach it to a rubble rock and a new one will grow?

Good question. Doesn't look like anything I've seen before. Keep a eye on it and if any of it turns dark/black, you may have to frag the dieing sections off.

Turn down your flow a little and run some GAC for now. Keep a eye on it and see what it does.

My finger leather turns a glossy light color when it's shedding or a light color on new sections.
