When I first purchased this piece it had white tips which have disappeared. Is something wrong?

Looks like the growth tips have slowed down and colored up. Nothing wrong just not growing as fast.

Should I move it up in the tank closer to the light vs on the sand bed? Or is slowed growth "normal" with age? And thanks for the assist!!

Light acclimate it slowly, especially with LEDs or mh, it will start showing growth tips again after it settles in a bit. How long have you had it?

Thanks so much! I loved also... it seems I shop for color more than anything else Although not really consciously. I'm a HUGE fan of purples/blues it seems lol. I think it's just such a rare color to see in nature relatively speaking.

My alk is 7.9.

beautiful piece, i love the color
