It's most likely growth or alkalinity swing.

Could be but usually with light intensity the whole Coral is affected not just the tips.

Hard to tell if there is tissue left on the tips or not. If so, this is likely just new growth. Was it recently added leading to the brown coloration? I wouldnt guess it to be getting too much light, more like not enough.

Edit: also looks like bare skeleton at the base and underside of the lower branches.

This piece experienced shock when I switched over to zeovit. Both nitrate and phosphate went to 0 and I had some deaths. This one managed to survive somehow and has been recovering extremely slow. I am happy that it survived. The skin looked very dried up ever since but I am getting good polyp extension when the lights are on.

I blast them with light so it’s probably not related to insufficient light.

The white is from lack of zoox. This can happen during periods of growth where the coral calcifies faster than the zoox can reproduce and populate the area. This can also happen in stress events where the zoox has abandoned the area. If it is growing, then it is good.

It wasn’t a piece with a lot of colors to begin with. The polyps are green The body has a lighter shade of green to it. This is a piece for me to test things before I spend on the fancy ones.

I have whites on for approximately three hours at 13x% percent. I am using 3 x hydra 52 HD plus supplement leds strips.
