We got this in at my local LFS where I also work parttime. It was shipped to us as part of a Square spot anthias group from a Philipines shipment. A squarespot anthias it is not, I am guessing a Philipines version of the Ventralis?

The picture is from the web, but it is identical to mine. He is a big fellow about 4 inches long...

Maybe, but the purple on the fins throws me off tho. And the pink is much more intense than that of the female bimaculatis, it might be changing to a male?

Beautiful fish you got there

Thanks, I kinda have thing for these color combos, I have a pair of Terminal male Chirrhilabrus Isosceles, two small Deepwater versions of the Sunburst/fathead anthias and other deepwater species.

Yep its a Bimac. Ventralis are a fraction of the size. Mine are maybe 1.5-1.75 inches at best. What other deep water anthias do you have?
