I was wondering who else has a very minimal clean up crew?
I only have a sand sifting star and 3 large nassarius snails in my sandbed. I have no other snails, hermits or crabs. I have no algae (hair bubble...) and only get minimal on my glass that I can clean with my magfloat.

I'm run a mostly "hitchhiker cleanup crew". Comprised of; Stometella, asterina, mini brittle star, and bristle worms. The beauty of this strategy is that they reproduce in the tank and maintain their populations at carrying capacity (which means I don't have to keep buying critters only to have them exhaust their food supply and die). I do however have a Scopas tang, diamond goby (Valenciennea puellaris), two money cowries, and a nassarius snail (given to me in 2005), which all help keep the 75 gallon tidy(ish).

I run the "hitchhikers" crew also. With one hermit (survived red bug treatment) a small conch and a "lavender" emerald crab. Really does seem simpler.

I run a pretty minimal crew, 1 nassarius (I think its still in there anyway), 5-10 astraea snails and a yellow tang in my 48x18x18. My wrasses keep the "hitchhikers" cleaned up lol

None here. I can't stand hermits. I do have a few snails but they are left over from some I bought for my mantis shrimp to eat. No crabs either.

I have got a few of the mini brittle stars but have not seen them. I need to find somebody local that has to many and get some. I also have a tang and never considered it part of a clean up crew.
