Who Loves a White Tank?

Hello everyone, I have been busy with a new baby but it has led to a lot more time holding the baby and watching the tank. It got me thinking about how happy I am that my tank is not the Windex Blue look that is so common.

Who else likes white tanks?
What lights do you use?
Are there animals that you enjoy more under white light?

I have a RedSea Reefer 750 lit with 2 Kessil A360s, 1 A360Xe, 2 AP9Xs but to get things looking nice and White I also added 2 9000k Lifegard LED strip lights.

I feel the clams just don't look right under blue, the yellow on the yellow tangs looks way better under white, and the pink bird's nest looks way more pink under white light. I know glowing stuff is cool, but I enjoy many of my animals more under white light.

Beautiful tank! I agree white lighting is my preference also! I’ve ran halides till a month ago and switched to meridians! I keep the white cranked up on them for that 14k look.

This was a custom one built by my LFS Aquarium Arts in Mesa AZ. I have done DIY stands in the past but they are much better.

I am pretty confident the next tank will not be rimless. I miss the old school canopy.

This tank started as 2 400 w halides with the 3 small kessils. I had to add 2 dedicated 20 amp circuits to run the halides and chiller, but it made the room so hot. I then swapped the halides with the 9Xs but I still wasn't happy. with the 9000k strips, I have been much happier.

I found this video last night about what corals look good under whiter lighting. I too remember having like 12K metal halides.
