Ok I cut my first one. Used a sharp knife and it cut easy just like your video. I hope theyre ok.
The problem is getting their foot unstuck.
I thought putting them in shells would be easier to get them detached but its not. I like the shells cuz I can move them if I want and so far they've been staying and happy in the shells. I could prolly get them out easy if I cut the shells but didnt want to cuz its hard to find shells around here.
I couldnt get the one I wanted to cut out of the shell so ended up cutting the big red one.
That one was on a rock and still not easy to get off.

I have a question about this Mini's .... do you have an occurrence that all of them would turn completely Green with the exception of some of their "faded"colored pattern?? Why does it turn Green?

thx,
Paul

That is one of the best I have seen NVTE......Beautiful.
Thanks

I haven't heard of them turning green?

Was at one of the local lfs and lo behold ... there was a "sea of Green" mini carpets. When they first arrived the colors were vivid and colorful but after a few weeks it'd turned ugly dull Green. Had me kinda thinking if it was the water chemistry that had anything to do with it? Other SPS and LFS' were flourishing in their tanks.

I put them in shells so I can move them and so they dont wander around the tank. They usually stay put in the shell.
I have them in a 24g nano right now along with alot of chalice and acans so I dont want them wandering.
I set up a 12g nano just for them but am waiting a bit before I move them into it.

As far as the green fading I think it's prolly the lighting. They dont really like to be blasted with light. A few of mine have faded a bit since I got them and I only have them under 3 24 inch T5's a 10k, blue and fiji purple.

I got a lot of minis and can see a change in colors..they seem to morph..a few of my orange ones are getting green and even one of my blue ones seems to get greener..i have mine under 250 watt radiums and not all change..so what is the reason..adjustment from wild may be?!?red ones are not affected yet...

Nice guys.

Finally I have something to show for myself!
