Who uses Reef Jerky?

I agree. The Plank is a game changer for me. I use two small digital timers with it. I have the pump go on a little bit before the feeder drops the food and a little bit after. I like doing that rather than leaving the pump on 24 seven as some have told me they do.
Their website says the pump is designed to run 24/7.

About a year ago I started making my own diy reef jerky after seeing this thread: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/my-diy-freeze-dried-food-recipe.1013697/

buying the individual freeze dried components is significantly cheaper than the premixed reef jerky. Also you could play with the ratios to match your livestock (or leave out certain ingredients all together).

Edit:
This link is where I bought all the freeze dried ingredients. Very happy with the quality! The link is listed on the other thread, but pasted here for convenience: https://www.brineshrimpdirect.com/specialty-fish-food-freeze-dried-fish-food/
I know this thread is older but I love this idea! Didn’t know there was a place like this out there. I’m going to buy this for my Plank feeder from here on out! Thanks!

I mix the following:

TDO chroma boost small
TDO chroma boost medium
Dehydrated mysis ~ 70% of my mix
New Life Spectrum Thera A
Ocean Nutrition Algae Flakes

I let my plank run 4 times a day for 30 seconds each time and the pump in the plank run for about 10 minutes each time.

Overtime, the smaller grain food gets sifted to the bottom and larger to the top. It’s good to pull the hopper off a few times a week and give it a little shake to mix it back up.
I'm late to the party, but how do you feed the TDO chroma? I know it needs to be kept refrigerated.
