Hello everyone, since we have moved in to our forever home I thought it would be a good thing to update the progress of the tank build.
The end game is a 1500 gallon ish plywood tank in what is now our formal dinning room that will be converted into a sitting area with the giant tank. I’m a carpenter by trade and have a pretty vast skill set so I’m confident that this tank will last a long long time.
The first step in the build is setting up the basement sump room where all the filtration will be, along with some grow out tanks, algae tanks and a place for me to hide from everyone lol.
The sump room is progressing with a 220 gallon sump, some diy filtration, a 90 gallon tank, a 20 gallon algae tank, a few other tanks that are empty. The protein skimmer is a Venturi type powered by the ever classy jeabo pump 5000. With all new 1” pipes and 1” mazzii Venturi. The return pump is also a jeabo pump 10000. I dose vodka 1ml 4x a day, vinegar 2ml 4x a day and h2o2 1ml 12x a day. I’m in the process of getting a Reef Pi built, its in the testing phase before it controls anything.

I have been working on the sump room the last few weeks. We got the drywall up and painted, did some organizing. Mounted the rodi in its new permanent location, and mounted a cabinet to store all the food and testing supplies and some other miscellaneous stuff. The next project is building something to mount the UV to and plumbing it up.
