who's having success with Dendronephthya?

I absolutely LOVE this coral and want to see what methods folks are using to keep this species alive and growing in their aquariums

I have had 1 in my tank for about a year, i feed it mysis an tiny silverside 1 a week along with other reef feeding. Im sad because i haven't had a second head form yet not sure how well they do in captivity.

I had mine over a year its in a little container on top of my tank very little flow. I started to feed it OVA which is prawn eggs and all the sudden it sprouted 5 new tiny baby heads. You can definitely feed them once a day. I'm not sure what may have caused it to sprout new baby heads after a year. I believe it may have been the SG swing I had and feeding OVA. I had a sg of 1.030 fixed back to 1.026. I've fed them silver sides which got messy since you have to chop it up into small bit sizes and I've tried pellets like thera-A but they spit out the pellets. I'm pretty lazy at feeding and easier the better for sure. Ova is super easy to do just crack off a small piece it looks like taffy toss that in a small container with your aquarium water and let it thaw for a few seconds then feed with a pipette. Think marine depot just got a bomb deal with OVA for like 7-10 bucks a pop think retail store may charge like 20. good luck

I use OVA to get those pesky anthias and other fishes to eat...I call it fish crack, they can't resist it lol

I have one and looks healthy. I had it for about 3 wks. I had to place it on a frag rack high under 250 MH with a strong current to keep it away from purple tang that thought it was a snack.(lol)
