Too much lighting ?
Yes all my sps and zoa's seam fine . Want to mention it is a sps dominated reefJust chalices?
I had bin treating a briopsus problem with elicited mag for two months previously with no success so I slowly brought the mag back down to the leaves it is at now .Any parameter swings? Especially Alk.
Corals have bin under the same lighting for well over a year and were flourishing under it until the bleaching startedToo much lighting ?
I had the same issue except I raised mag to help rid Dino and my chalice began to bleach. I haven't been able to find anything that raising mag could actually be the culprit so I just gave up trying to figure it out.I had bin treating a briopsus problem with elicited mag for two months previously with no success so I slowly brought the mag back down to the leaves it is at now .
The light plays a role with nutrients is what BigJim was saying I believe. lower nutrients lower light and vice versa. I believe this may have been the issue with mine as well now that I think about it.I don't think it's a light issue but I am leaning toward a lack of nutrients in the water as I was trying to starve out the bryosaus and was not feeding the tank as much . Have bin feeding more for the last couple weeks with no change to the chalice's one way or the other .
I see what you are saying here . Unfortunately I don't have place that has less light that I can put them . I may have to ride it out and hope they pull through .The light plays a role with nutrients is what BigJim was saying I believe. lower nutrients lower light and vice versa.
