why cant i keep lps

What are you using to measure alk? Some LPS don't seem to do well with higher alk levels, a friend of mine had his alk just over 10 and had a similar problem, dropped the alk a bit and the LPS are doing much better... of course if you drop it too much then your SPS may suffer.

I have almost the same problem my scans look like poop my blast looks better then ever and now my Duncan that got some great color on it over the last month looks like poop too. I just bought a new bag of reef crystals maybe the other bag was funky or something. I just can't figure it out all my sps are doing terrific parameters are right where theyvshould be. what the heck? This is bothering me so much.

I have the same issue and it is light I will almost garantee it. Even shaded in my tank acans and chalices dont do well. The second I put them under my leds in my frag tank they perk up and come back within days. Set up a frag tank and put t5's or something not as intense as halides over it to put your acans in. They really really dont like light. Alk will effect them somewhat but not as much as light. I have been doin an experiment for my local club for about 6 weeks now on this very issue. Good luck!
