Hey, I am new to saltwater and I got a BTA for my clownfish only for it to never be active and even turn into nubs or a shriveled-up mess...
From my research, I feed it once to twice a week some frozen shrimp blend from Petco. Its got all the shrimp it needs to eat or that's what I learned from research but.. It would just stop eating 2 weeks after being home.
I tried blood worms too from research that they can eat but it liked that more than shrimp then proceeded to starve itself. it use to be full of life and color and would spread out its tentacles like it should, but two weeks later is was done with the world.
I do not add anything extra to my tank other than some phytoplankton for my coral and some AB.. about every other week as needed for the food and the AB once in and while as to not overdo it.
The light I have is a WILLS LED hangover of 165 watts for a 55-gallon tank. salt level is 1.020 to 1.025. The water is fine and the flow is great, I got two wave makers and A hang-back filter. I am gonna get some anemone pellets but wanna hear if something else is needed instead.
I only have one coral, and 4 fish in my tank. just starting. been up now about 6 months, got the nem at 4 months. (have an algae problem in the tank)
Am I missing something? or is my tank just not ready for a nem yet?
