Wt falken. My essential elements was purple!?!? My skimmate is brown as coffee. I use reef accelerator, dts, fresh hatched brine, and some other stuff. Yours looks good enough to feed back to your corals! just kidding, or am i? Try it on a waving hand. I have a whole 10g dedicated to science and anthelia are my lab rats. Send me an ounce or 2 and I will tell you what it does. haha.

I dosed it Friday afternoon.

You dose on Friday and by Sunday, most of it has been skimmed out. This is my experience with Essential Elements as well... turns skimmate on the green side. Even when dark brown, theirs a green hue to the skimmate. To re-emphasize that if you're using a good reef salt to do your water changes, you probably don't need to dose Essential Elements. You can dose in between water changes until you use up the bottle.
