On a non ULR kit you should be reading 0 on phosphates and your nitrates are too low. When you get your ULR shoot for 0.02-0.04 on PO4 and 2-5ppm on nitrates (or higher if you intend to keep alk higher.. this is really personal preference)Nitrates are 0
Phosphate is around .25-.5 i would say, hard to compare the colors,

I don't agree with this advice unfortunately. The type of hydroids you had on that coral are typical of a non-established tank. They perish once the tank matures.“You need to toss that acro out, before those hydroids get to all of your other corals”

Colonial hydroids are the scary ones (along with a few others)!
