Nitrates are 0

Phosphate is around .25-.5 i would say, hard to compare the colors,

I ordered the ULR phosphorus just now should be here this week
On a non ULR kit you should be reading 0 on phosphates and your nitrates are too low. When you get your ULR shoot for 0.02-0.04 on PO4 and 2-5ppm on nitrates (or higher if you intend to keep alk higher.. this is really personal preference)

This is the main problem in addition to the the and maturity of the tank isn't helping.

“You need to toss that acro out, before those hydroids get to all of your other corals”
I don't agree with this advice unfortunately. The type of hydroids you had on that coral are typical of a non-established tank. They perish once the tank matures.

Colonial hydroids are the scary ones (along with a few others)!

dang i wish i knew that. I wouldve kept it
