I admit I have been busy and slacked on water changes lately "it's been 3 weeks" yikes! Checked my Params yesterday and nitrates were 80. Going to do a large water change today to help with that. But... that brings me to my next problem. My chaeto doesn't grow much at all. With 80ppm of nitrates, shouldn't chaeto be growing like crazy?

Currently, I run a reverse lighting schedule on my fuge with a Fluval marine and Sea 2.0. I think my light may be overkill but... it's all I have

You may want to try ;
You may want light on all the time.
Use a led red grow light.
Have flow in chamber with Chaeto
Get a different kind of Chaeto, sometimes doing this is all you'll need and the new stuff will take off and grow like crazy.
