And thank you to everyone else for loving R2R like I do!

Revhtree- the wizard of oz of reef2reef. (Without the deceit of course...the real wizard of oz was full of it)

The owners are passionate about the hobby and it shows.

I never see old posts from members with 8,000 post to their names that have been "moved on" because they sold a few frags or mentioned the name of a site the establishment didn't like. I could post a link here to reefbuilders.com when I see an interesting article or send someone to glass-holes.com when they ask about an overflow, even though they aren't a sponsor here.

The community has gotten so large that you can find almost anything you want just by searching.

The sponsors here are mostly small businesses who still seem to be passionate about the business/hobby and spend more time posting about their products or just giving information to people who need it.

But mostly we come here cause they are not Reef Central. :)

I like R2R because:
1. It is a friendly community. Bashing is kept to a minimum.
2. We have enough truly experienced aquarists to keep bull honkey to a minimum; you can be pretty sure that if something you are told is not solid, someone else will jump in and say so.
3. Lots and lots of giveaways
4. Members are usually very willing to help a reefer in need.
5. There is no derision towards beginners.
6. A free flow of ideas, even *gasp* new and controversial ones, is encouraged...and even if it mentions a product you happen to sell, you won't be shut down for "advertising" just because of that. Pushing a product for personal gain, maybe, but not explaining a method using such a product.

Because all the jerks seems to gravitate to the other forums and this one was left to the more experienced, friendly and more than willing to help people I see posting here everyday :)
It's nice to see people helping out beginners and not judging them because they ask a question about something the more experienced guys think is simple. I've been a member on a few of the other forums and didn't learn half as much in months as I did here at R2R in a matter of days.

I've grown tired being a member of "other reef forums" and receiving ridiculous bans, or time outs for the stupidest of things. We're adults looking to converse, help and get better at this hobby not be treated like children. I have enjoyed my transition to R2R quite a lot.

I've been on several.
I like R2R because revhtree get's involved with the discussions.

One other one that I've been on it seems like the only time you hear from an Admin is when you did something wrong (not that I have, but I've seen it).

Nice friendly place with good useful information.
