Is it common for wild mummyeye to form a rim? or is it just new growth?

This is the best I can do with my lenses.
light green rim goes all the way around this chalice.

I would just watch it grow or maybe make a frag and watch if when it heals to see that it develops a rim. If it's not just new growth and a real rim that would be dope!
