So I'm grabbing my Reefer 250 V3 tomorrow and I would like to add a Reefmat to the system but not lose the refugium. It seems if I go for the 500 model I will have to sacrifice the refugium so my question is can the 250 model do an effective job in my tank or do I need to go to the 500 and sacrifice the refugium?

The reefer 250 v3 falls within the recommended sizes for a reefmat 250 and honestly the biggest complaint most people have about reefmats aside from the cost of rolls is that they keep their tanks TOO clean, so I don't think oversizing is necessary at all.
