The parameters are good but I just heard that they need a lot of light.
I have a 55 gallon and the would be placed about 12" for my light which is an aquaticlife 4 bulb t5.
Also any any pointers on keeping them healthy will be appreciated

What are your parameters when you say good? How do you maintain alk, calcium, and magnesium? You will have it monitor and keep each of them stable. Place them in the upper half of your tank, that fixture can grow sps I've seen it done personally. More important than the light is the alk and calcium though.
