I doubt it will sting you at all. The corals are more afraid of you then you are of them... haha

I personally get a pretty bad sting when I handle chalices with no gloves. It looks like clear bumps and gets red and itchy.

All corals will sting when their tentacles are out. Most are just too wimpy for us to notice, definitely not like fire coral. They do more damage to each other and small fish.

It should only effect you if you have sensitive skin or a small open cut... I've been stung by my BTA a few times when I've had a small cut...

I got stung by a fire coral once when I was walking around a beach on vacation... Not the most fun thing that's even happened to me :squigglemouth:

Anytime I've been stung, it's been on scar tissue or an open wound. Frogspawn, BTA, and florida rics (rics were on an open wound and it hurt for hours...). Definitely something to watch out for.

The ric burned almost as bad a an orange 'eye' urchin... I didn't ease up for at least 30 min. I had sliced my thumb on some plastic plumbing earlier in the day. I pay attention to cuts now.
