Will innovative marine carbon sponge remove medications

Was just wondering if anyone used a carbon sponge from innovative marine to remove medications currently I am dosing metroplex in my qt with a clownfish the qt is a 8 gal nuvo will this sponge be sufficient enough to remove all the metroplex combined with a water change I never had a qt before and is the first time I am dosing any meds what is a good way to use activated carbon to remove meds in such a small tank

Not sure about Innovative Marine but all carbon will remove medication in some sort.

Could I just buy activated carbon and put it in a type of bag to hang in the water

Probably, but it would be more effective if it was in some sort of filtration system where water is constantly running through it
