Will my floor hold? Sanity Check

Just moved into a new home so naturally I’m getting ideas for a tank upgrade from our current Nyos. Currently eyeballing a 60”x30”x24” peninsula. Roughly 180 gallons or so. Something similar to the photo below.

However, this tank would be located on the main level above a basement. It would be somewhat over a steel beam but just wanted opinions on the safety of this.

This little jut-out of the wall is where the beam is located below.

My tanks have always been on slabs so I’m not sure if I’m totally overthinking this or not. Would love any thoughts or opinions on this.

Not a problem at all that is solid as a rock for the 180. You could even put your sump downstairs underneath it. It makes maintenance a breeze and you can make a huge sump.

My unlicensed opinion says that you are more than ok. Most of the weight will be on the I beam which is setting on the concrete wall.
Are you planning on finishing out the basement? If not, or maybe even if so, you could frame up a little closet underneath. Maybe even frame up a little (or big) fish room and move your sump downstairs.

We’ll probably finish the basement at some point in the future but that space directly below the tank is actually roughed in for a full bath so I’ll have to keep a sump up under the tank. You can see the pipes for this in the floor in one of the photos

Hmmm, weird.
All I see is the drainpipe for water changes in your fish room.

Sump in the basement for sure. Frame in around the sump.
