So I recently had an all spike and it upset a few of my corals. Question I have is will my purple stylo get its purple color back. It lost all of its purple but the polyps are fully extended and the coral looks happy nothing receding just white now.

Most likely it will, I've had small frags that were completely bleached and then regenerate the color a few months later. If the polyps continue to look healthy it will be fine.

That’s refreshing news. Just amazes me how one minute everything was so happy and bam alk spike now corals are not what they used to be. Guess I just need to give it time. Several corals have already bounced back but there are still a few not happy. My Duncan’s are finally starting to come out again. Nothing like they were though but guess they were mad also

Your gtg if you keep things correct
Back on track. I had to stop dosing alk for now. Guess the batch of reef crystals I used had a higher alk content and I was dosing on top of that. Since I stopped alk dosing the alk is back to where it was.

Reef crystals for me was never really reliable. The fluctuations were too big on top of the water changes

I’m doing daily 1 gallon water changes via the Dos. Little upset that it spiked since I was doing the Trident controlled dosing. Not sure how it allowed my alk to get so high. Since I stopped dosing Alk it has come down and back to where it was. Now I am only dosing 15 ml every night. Weird thing is I don’t dose calcium since that is always consistently on the high side.
