Thinking ahead a bit to when I eventually transfer my tank into its new home, I plan to move my existing rock over to the new setup as well.
My main concern is that I am going to be switching my water sources and because of that, the salt I use as well.
I plan to match salinity and temperature as best I can, but will changes in other parameters have any adverse effects on the bacteria in my currently live rock?
Or would I be good to just fill the tank up, let any sand and cloudiness in the water settle, then add in my existing rock and fish (no corals in this tank) to their new home?
