Will removing an anemone significantly impact clownfish?

Hello,

I have a pretty large bta sitting on a rock that my clowns are pretty fond about. However, it has started encroaching onto the torch coral next to it, which is probably why the torch is looking sad. I could move the coral, but there isn’t really a place I could put it and I don’t think they react well to moving. Instead, I have just decided to use an anemone cannon to move the anemone into a basket with other anemones. However, I am worried whether this would significantly stress the clownfish. They’re a bonded pair, but I am still worried.

If anyone has any insight on this, please let me know. Thank you.

They may decide the torch looks like a good substitute host. Never know with clowns.

Clowns will be fine without anemone. They will find somewhere else to host either coral, powerhead or rock work.

Ok cause i plan on replacing the anemone for a smaller one. I was just worried about stress during the time being.

My clown divides her time between 2 gonies. They don't seem to mind. She used to live in a couple duncans. She killed one, the other one I had to move to a different tank.

I removed an ailing magnifica that my ocellaris clown trio had rarely gone more than an inch from for months.

With it gone, they have not claimed anything else yet and move about the tank to get food far more than previously.

I think they may be holding out for a new magnifica to arrive since they hear me talking about getting one. lol
