Will the ice cap gyre work pump only?

I can't seem to find any info about whether this work independently of any controller. If it works plug and play that would be ideal

You will need a controller. The DC motor is 3 Phase and will not work directly connected to the wall wart.

Chinazon has some inexpensive controllers that will allow you to adjust the speed.

The Wave Engine controller is used to control the icecap gyres.
