I was trying to pop off the frag plugs of several of my sps so I could mount them on my reef. Several of them left some encrusted parts on the plug. Will these regrow into new corals? If so, how likely is that? In other words, is it worth keeping the frag plugs?

Yes they will re-grow from the encrusted areas on the plugs. I would save them for a backup just incase something happens to the main frag/coral.

Sometimes. Sometimes there is just not enough and they can linger forever doing nothing and then eventually wilt away. Sometimes they take off and do well. I like to give them a chance to grow.
