The display should get wet next weekend if all goes well. The filters shipped out on Thursday. They should be here by Wednesday.

Paint is done. I'm awaiting the delivery of the sump tomorrow afternoon. Hope to get the plumbing done this weekend.
This is how its going to look. Can't wait to fill the tanks with SPS!

Filter, protein skimmer and refugium came in yesterday. The skimmer is an inch too tall. It was supposed to be 30" and it's 31". I need to trim it down to get the top on.
Still waiting on the canister media reactors, calcium reactor and return pump.

Should be able to get some of the plumbing done.
Seems like this build is in slow motion.
One step forward two steps back.

Main drains and emergency drains installed.
I can't plumb the return lines until the pump arrives.

I'm trying yo decide the best way to plumb the chiller. Should I just run the return through the chiller and then to the display? I think this would be the most efficient.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Water testing the tank today. Had a few small bubbles in the silicone. They are only in the top 6 inches of the seems and halfway across. The same in all four corners.

Did you guys have any micro bubbles in your replacement tanks?

I'm also running the mp40s at full power for a bit to see if the bubbles get any worse.

wow these bubbles are a big concern. did you ever contact marineland ?

The system is up and running! Ammonia and nitrite are already testing at 0.
The system in cycling and I added the first few fish. The rest of the fish will go into quarantine a few at a time until I get them all in the display.

Also the micro bubbles that appeared in the silicone of my display tank are starting to go away.

Added a blue background. It makes the tank look cleaner now that I can't see what's behind it. I was going to paint it but I like the stick on background because I can change colors if I want.
Just need to order the sea swirls and eliminate those ugly temporary returns.

Added some live rock last week to get some coraline algae going. I added a tester acro to make sure the tank is ready for more. It's hard to get good macro shots with a cell phone, but I think this acro looks happy. I cleaned the glass right before this pic so the water looks a little cloudy. My photography technique needs a lot of work! I'm going to need a good camera soon.
My parameters are:
Cal 460 ppm
Mg 1460 ppm
Alk 10 dkh
pH 8.01
NO3 0.5 ppm
PO4 <0.03 ppm
salinity 1.023
I'm ready to see this thing start filling up with Sps. Its going to be slow going because I spent way more on the build than I wanted to. I'm asking for corals for Christmas if anybody is feeling generous LOL.

Frag pack from Adam at battle corals!
Should be shipping out right after new years.
A little extra time healing up in Adam's system will do them good.

Ordered some frags from Adam at Battle Corals. They just came in yesterday. The colors are a little washed from the trip down to Florida. They should recover in a little while with some TLC.

Small update with a full tank shot.
Fresh cut frag of a red planet.
The last two pics are of the growth in the 1.5 months I have had this frag.

Wow. Looking great. That sps is awesome and good growth on the RP. Wish mine would do the same.
Thanks man! I haven't had too many comments on this thread. Maybe I should have posted it in club cube for a little cube love.

The red planet was just clipped yesterday. The guy cut me a nice big frag. The other one is called Frost pop, got a few easy sps for starters. The system has only been up since Dec 1st. I have had most of these frags for 1.5 months , and I'm just starting to get some new growth. Most frags are still on the rack in the frag tank. I have just started mounting a few in the display.
