Heya,

So I have an bta, and when I added it in, I placed a filter inside the little weir box for the two little fishes xaqua in out overflow.

This did 2 things. It raised the water level in the tank slightly, which was fine I have plenty of room. But also caused a slurping noise that was truly terrifying. This was for the most part resolved by trimming the filter to be below the water level. But it did not completely eliminate the excess noise.

So I remembered I had this. But have no idea if this material is safe.

I would be gluing it to the back of the overflow grate. Also not sure I like using white on the black overflow. So I may be ordering more anyways.

The sounds not nearly as bad anymore. So I’m not in any rush or anything haha.
