so i picked up another bottle of wine tonight for round #2 in this little experiment.
got a blue bottle of german Riesling, by Leonard Kreusch for about $9.
its much more tolerable than the red i had last week. at first, it tasted pretty sour, but not too sour and not too dry. but i decided to pour 1/4 of a glass, and swirl it. it gradually tasted better. so i kept swirling the heck out of small portions and its actually starting to taste pretty decent.
i went back and poured a glass without swirling....and it tastes like blah......
what effect does swirling have? dissapate the CO2 and exchange with O2? does that really make a difference in how it tastes?
also, how exactly are you supposed to drink it?
it seemed to taste better when i had my nose all the way in the glass and i was breathing it in right before i sipped it.
oh well......the g/f barely finished a glass....and refused to swirl and now doesn't want anymore. so its up to me to finish off the bottle........
btw....JOSH.....where do i find the Kir Royale stuff locally? couldn't find it at Kroger.
