Woke to a large boom

11 p.m last night me and the wife woke to a large explosion. This is 3 miles from our house. Our friends live 3 house down from the house that exploded. They lived why 2 have died and 7 injured. They are still investigating this but they believe the house filled with natural gas and was some how sparked. The house that exploded the residents were out of town. The blast was heard 40 miles away and felt 5 miles away. Prayers for our friends.

Yes it is very crazy and sad. People were evacuated without pets and are still not allowed back into them. Looks like a war zone over there.

Insane. My first thought was a meth lab explosion but a gas leak would do it as well. Your friends are So fortunate not to have been harmed. Very sad

No he did not take that pic. He was trying to find his dog and pulling people out of there houses. The neighborhood was evacuated very quickly. Neighborhood is surrounded by police. They started letting people back in tonight for 5 minutes to grab what you can carry. Most of the homes have no windows garage doors were blown in front doors blown off the hinges. A police officer takes you to your home and brings you back out because most homes are wide open.

Glad he's OK, though. Last I heard amazingly only two people died... pretty insane!

Edit: And when I say "Only", it still sucks that any lives were lost.

my grandparents house blew up like that once, they made it out safely, but there house was a crispy pile of wood. the nintendo and all its games also survived! we still play it when we visit

Well sad to report this but it was just on our 6 p.m news. They family who's house blew up was in financial trouble and have hired a lawyer. Why do you need a lawyer when your house blows up on accident? The family was at a local casino saturday night when all of this happened. What a great place to be full of cameras to show where you were during this. So so sad. Financial crimes now has this case.

Well, this now hits slightly closer to home. Apparently the two people that died, husband and wife, were members of the GTO community. I'm sure you all know that for some reason people that drive the same cars tend to feel very close to eachother... Blah =(
