So I had a 4.2 gallon deep blue cube sitting around, and itch to do something with a Coralife 30G Marine Filter with Protein Skimmer.. So what the heck, lets over skim and filter a little 4 gallon pico tank... Soo I grabbed some dry rock that I was not using and tossed it in, i just need to get a little bit of sand. I'll pick up some sand on payday to put in there.. The light I am using was the one that came with my 40 gallon before I upgraded to a Hydra 26HD.. Hell its free and it works..

I have had the tank setup for about a week now, waiting for it to cycle. Honestly I am not entirely to sure what I am going to do with it yet. I've been tossing around these Ideas:
1) Turn it into a Mantis shrimp tank. Either a G. Viridis or N. Wennerae depending on what I can find.
2). Watchman Goby and Pistol Shrimp
3). Just some coral.

Number 1 really depends on if I can find one of those mantis shrimp, those littler guys seem pretty hard to get your hands on.. #2 Honestly Feels like the tank is too small long term for any type of shrimp goby..#3 will coral is going in either way

What direction should I go with this tank?

and pictures cause face it, thats why we browse this section anyways..

Yes I have a problem of Multiple fish tanks.. But hey there could be worst things to spend my money on right? So this new tank sits on my bar next to my two 2.6g Fresh water bloody mary shrimp breeding tanks..

Looks a perfect size for a coral tank to me, and probably easier to control water parameters?

But it’s your tank and there are some beautiful Nano and Pico tanks on here including dedicated forums for ideas.

get a couple of them with a couple of pistols if you can. you may end up with some offspring! becareful, thats how i lost my breeding pair of YWG. the pump failed during the night and they were dead by morning. next time im adding an airpump with battery backup.
