They do not like going in the sand. So if you have urchins, make sure they are secured well.
What is it that acros don't like about getting knocked around? Does it damaged them in some invisible way? I had one (first one) get knocked from its perch and it was stunted for weeks. I finally saw polyps in a new growth area but I'm yet to see polyps on the main part of the frag.

WWC may be able to answer that better. I know I am doing bare bottom on my sps tank.
