I busted out the microscope, and I think I regret it...view at your own risk (pardon the dirty skimmer particles)

Seems to move and look like a bristleworm, but I still have no idea. It's definitely time to clean the skimmer though lol

I made sure to dump the skimmate far away in the yard just in case it's fly/mosquito/non-tank native larvae. We live in the south and the tank is by a window we sometimes open so that could be a possibility. My main concern is that it's something that could affect my fish/corals (internal parasites or something).

Based on the body parts, I'm thinking some type of annelid:

Look up Psychoda (moth/drain fly) larvae and see if it's a match - the tail and fuzzy spikes on the side can be tough to see in a few of the pics, but they're similar to yours here.

We were out of town for a week and had a clogged AC drain pipe, and I saw a few of those moths/flies in the house when we got back! bet that's it! Not as scary as an internal parasite but still gross lol
