Would a blenny eat Xenia?

Hi there! Watching a friends tank which contains the following, lawnmower/algae blenny, clownfish, 2 qty 3 stripe black and white damsels. We put a frag of pulsing Xenia coral in a couple weeks ago. The frag was in a good spot but kept getting knocked down somehow. (I'm sure it wasn't bc of flow). I found the frag stone and the coral is gone. I've heard of Blennies nipping coral. Do you think it could of eaten the Xenia? Was a pretty small piece. About the size of a fifty cent piece or smaller. There isn't much algae in the tank. The damsels take the food before everyone else. Might have to start target feeding the Blenny. It is usually hiding, was actually coming to the surface for food. Haven't seen it do that before. He has had the blenny for over a year. Thoughts?

I had a Watchman Blenny with Xenia. Never touched it. Was it the first time you tried Xenia? In some tanks its unstoppable and others it melts before your eyes. No one seems sure why.

It's not likely that the blenny, was the frag overturned for some time? If it happened to fall coral side down for several days, it's possible that the coral got damaged and melted away, also what the previous poster stated, pulsing xenia is known to melt away for numerous reasons.

Ah. Very possible scenario. Does well in my tank, first time we tried it his tank. It was down in a dark area for a few days. We'll try again but secure the frag rock next time.
