Would this be ok for a calcium supplement?

My only hesitation was the Pb level. But if Randy has no concerns, then I have none. Otherwise, it looks just hunkey-dorey!
I’m not sure what lead level might be an issue, but I’ll note that USP pharmaceutical grade calcium chloride dihydrate can have up to 5 ppm lead, so I do not know how easy it will be to ensure the levels are lower than this one at 0.8 ppm without searching actual lot analyses.

What I don’t get is that it says:

Heavy metals as Pb <20
Pb 0.08

Why state the first line when the second line gives the exact analysis of Pb?

The first is likely the guaranteed specification for every batch. The second is the actual analysis of the particular batch. That is the usual practice: a spec, and a specific result.

Thanks, great to learn this stuff!

Now, I know I could well be overthinking it but I like to get the bottom of all the facts.

Because this COA is from 2016, the current batch could be anywhere between 0.08 and 20?

Now this may be cynical but who does these COA’s? Themselves? Is it governed in anyway?

I also notice that the expiry date for this chemical is 2 years after manufacturing so further voids this COA having any value?
