Last night I took out my new package of LRS nano, took a small portion for my nano tank. Made sure I sealed it up tight and promptly put it in my refrigerator right next to all my other reef foods. The woke up this morning to realizing I put my FROZEN food in the refrigerator!
It all settled out to the bottom. I took a small portion out for a morning snack and flattened it all out and froze it.
I'm sure the portion this morning is safe to eat, I mean I would eat it. But I wondered how I impacted it's shelf life. I'm sure there are reefers who would have thrown it away immediately and some that would feed it no questions asked. I'm just wondering what is the safest and least wasteful option.
I have been feeding out of it for a 2 weeks. Never thawed before. Never sat at room temperature. 12 hours in fridge.
What would you do?
